...but not enough.
Throughout my research I'm finding several academics writing or speaking about male victims. This is great. But why is it only the academics that can see these issues?
Gene Feder, a GP and researcher from University of Bristol stated that he recommends services become "more inclusive and tailored to more effectively address the needs of all genders, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds."

I could link you to many research papers, essays, articles and many other sources; but you can quite easily find them online. So why is it, when the internet makes finding information out to be so easy nowadays, there is still a barrier for men seeking domestic abuse support?
The fact that the National Domestic Abuse Helpline isn't the go-to place for men, and yet it is pinned at the top of any google search related to domestic abuse baffles me and I'm still today trying to speak to people about this.
Without awareness of these issues, nothing can be done, so please continue to spread these facts, talk about these topics, contact me, read up - because things have to change here.
